At this young age keep it simple!  

• Age 4-6:  1 hour/ day or less of formal lessons.  
• Play needs to be the focus!
• Teach the lessons of right and wrong according to the 10 Commandments.
• Age 7-10: 2 hours/day or less of formal lessons.  
• Play still needs to be the focus.
• Reinforce the understanding of right and wrong (according to the 10 Commandments, not your own arbitrary definition).
• Age 11+: 4 hours/day (Let them do more if they are asking for it.)
• At this phase of education encourage your children to read constantly.
• Encourage them to read broadly, not just fiction.

The foundation of all studies should be reading...READ-READ-READ!!
